The New York Racing Association (NYRA) announced on July 4 that a contractual dispute between NYRA and FanDuel Racing has led to the removal of all NYRA content from FanDuel’s wagering platforms. This impasse means that pari-mutuel wagering and live video streams from the ongoing Belmont at the Big A spring/summer meet are currently unavailable on FanDuel, which was previously known as TVG.
Ongoing negotiations aim for resolution:
NYRA has indicated that it will continue discussions with FanDuel in an effort to resolve the disagreement and achieve its goal of boosting the financial flow to the sport and its stakeholders within New York.
“NYRA provides the racing content that fuels the profits of out-…
September is traditionally when the box office cools down after the summer blockbusters finish their runs. But if the early word on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is any indication, then this long-awaited sequel is going to buck the trend with an opening weekend worthy of the summer.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel to 1988’s Beetlejuice is projected to open with $80 million. If the film manages to pull that off, it will have one of the highest September openings of all time. That said, it should be noted that Warner Bros. is offering a more conservative outlook for the film. The studio believes that the total will fall somewhere between $65 million to $75 million, which would still be a big opening. Come from malaysia online casino …
Following in the footsteps of earlier union action by Bethesda workers and ZeniMax QA workers, 461 developers at ZeniMax Online Studios have launched their union. The union has been recognized by parent company Microsoft, which acquired ZeniMax and it subsidiaries in 2021.
The union is called ZOS United-CWA, and like the previous unionization efforts within ZeniMax Media, has been formed with the Communications Workers of America (CWA). The new union consists of web developers, designers, engineers, and graphic artists, with an announcement on Bluesky identifying union members as “a majority of video game workers at ZeniMax Online Studios and the workers behind ESO.”
“We are thrilled to be joining thousands of other tech and video game workers in building solidarity across t…

Thunderful Games, the developer of the SteamWorld series, has announced 80-100 layoffs at the company and a reshifting focus for third-party games. In a press release, the company said the layoffs were part of a “restructuring.” Along with the layoffs, an unspecified number of game projects were officially canceled.
CEO of Thunderful Martin Walfisz said that the decision came with regret, but this isn’t the first time the company has seen layoffs this year. Back in January, Thunderful saw 20% of the company’s staff laid off in a similar “restructuring,” something that Walfisz acknowledges and saw as unavoidable.
“It is regrettable to announce a second restructuring of Thunderful in less than a year, but we unfortunately see no other alternatives in order to ensure the Group…
With the rise of ChatGPT and other AI products and platforms, many people are wondering how AI technology could shape the future of video games. Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson has commented on this during the company’s latest earnings briefing, saying gaming will be “one of the greatest beneficiaries” of AI, even if it does cause a shakeup in the workforce.
Wilson said the “fear of displacement of the workforce” is a legitimate issue as it pertains to AI. History has shown that major revolutions like the agricultural revolution and the industrial revolution led to “displacement” in the workforce in the near term and then “meaningful increases” in job opportunities down the road. AI could follow a similar trajectory, Wilson said, as reported by IGN.
“Our hope is that AI re…
Filippo Inzaghi was pleased with his Milan side s determined performance as they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Sampdoria on Saturday.
Milan travelled to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on the back of a three-match winless streak, including last week s home loss to Palermo, but they took the lead early on in Genoa through Stephan El Shaarawy s first Serie A goal since February 2013.
Sampdoria equalised on the stroke of half-time through Stefano Okaka before Eder gave them the the lead soon after the restart.
However, Jeremy Menez restored parity from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, although captain Daniele Bonera s dismissal late in the game for a second yellow card did take the shine off a valuable point for the visitors.
Nevertheless, Inzaghi was deli…
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is seemingly already under-pressure at White Hart Lane
Every day there seems to be somebody coming out with their opinion, defence, or criticism of Tottenham, so today is my turn.
Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris has revealed that he does not believe that boss Mauricio Pochettino is to blame for the team’s poor campaign so far.
Boss
Lloris told L’Equipe: I do not blame him (Pochettino). I trust the coaching staff and the current head coach.
When it s the third coach in a year and there are problems, the coach is not necessarily the problem. Nevertheless, we are working and trying to find answers.
Mauricio Pochettino was a major hit in his time at Southampton and won seemingly universal acclaim from experts…
Central Coast coach Graham Arnold says the A-League s leading scorer Daniel McBreen has done enough to earn a new contract with the side.
The striker scored again in a 1-1 draw at Wellington on Saturday to keep himself as the surprise leader of the competition s scoring charts, extending his lead over Phoenix marksman Jeremy Brockie.
The well-travelled veteran joined the Gosford outfit in 2011 with expectations of filling in behind youthful front men Tomas Rogic and Bernie Ibini.
And his supporting role in last year s minor premiership looked to be the limit of his endeavours.
However, he has enjoyed a new lease on life in 2012/13, with 10 goals in as many starts securing a regular berth in Arnold s first XI.
And the Mariners supremo is expecting…
